THE THORNTON DESIGN PROCESS

The tried and true Thornton Design process comes from over 20 years of industry experience and expertise. Our 3 phase, 9 step process ensures consistency, accuracy, and confidence throughout each project, allowing you to relax and enjoy as your interior design comes together. You can trust us to complete your space on time and within budget.


PHASE 1 - CONSULTATION

The consultation kick starts every project. For up to two hours, we will discuss design ideas and solutions to help prioritise the budget. You are free to ask questions regarding furniture layout, design challenges, space planning, custom millwork needs, lighting, furniture, upholstery & drapery needs, and more. After the paid consultation, Thornton Design will provide a cost estimate for your project.

PHASE 2 - DESIGN,RESEARCH &PRESENTATION

Design Development is an integral part of the Thornton Design process. This phase is where our creative team shines. Design Development allows our team to convert your raw ideas, dreams, and wish list into an enticing presentation with associated costs. This step spans a period of 6-8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the project.

PHASE 3 - PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION

In order to maintain project momentum, Thornton Design will place and track all necessary orders on your behalf. Throughout the process, we will be fully transparent with progress and stay on top of every design element to make sure that every item is perfected. This is followed by the final reveal and photo shoot day!

The initial Discovery Call is where we will get to know you and your design goals, to determine the best way to help you achieve your vision.
